You can make this as quick as you could order and wait for it from a takeaway. Plus it’s healthier, and tastes just as good, if not better.
There is no reason you can’t fakeaway every night of the week.
You can put this sauce with any meat, vegetable, tofu etc. I chose a tuna steak because it’s got that rich meaty taste but it feels light and compliments the sauce now.
Healthy Sweet and Sour Sauce
Pairs well with fish, meat or even veggies.
- 1/4 cup of lime juice
- 1 tbsp tomato purée/ketchup
- 2 tsp sweetener or stevia such as Truvia or Natvia
- 2 tsp rice wine vinegar
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 3 tsp Tamari soy sauce
- Black pepper
Mix the ingredients together and marinate your meat of choice. I cooked my tuna in a pan for six minutes, turning every minute and on each turn I poured more sauce. I then served with the remainder.
