Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Protein Balls

What could be better than my cookie dough protein ball recipe? Double chocolate chip cookies that’s what.

I was always skeptical of ‘energy balls’ or ‘protein balls’ – I love snacking but I could never imagine these small balls being satisfying or filling.

I was wrong. They are actually great to keep you going mid-morning or as a quick boost before a workout. These are a really good combination of protein, fats and carbohydrates to fight the hanger.

If you’re skeptical like I was, it is worth making them just for the cookie dough – it tastes bomb.

They’re really easy to make and only take 5-10 minutes, so they’re a great easy meal prep that can be stored for the rest of the week.

I use a dairy-free chocolate peanut protein for these and it really adds to the flavour!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Protein Balls

Ingredients

  • 40 g Coconut Flour
  • 40 g Chocolate Protein Powder*
  • 30 g Cashew Butter**
  • 150 ml Almond Milk
  • 10 g Cacao Nibs

Instructions

  1. Mix together all the ingredients to form a dough. 

  2. Add the cacao nibs and mix in.

  3. Roll approximately 15 balls and refrigerate them!

**I use this Cashew Butter - its great if you like a creamy, nutty, nut butter! (Top tip: if you order big pots of nut butter like this with your protein powder it is MUCH cheaper than at the supermarket)
